Activities, food at holiday event

STERLING – An Amazing Grace Fourth of July Celebration will be from noon to 5 p.m. July 4 at the church, 512 Second Ave.

Free activities include water slides, a rock wall, Euro-bungy, cannon blasters, and special guests. The Sterling Fire Department, CGH/Ambulance, National Guard, and the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department will display their equipment.

Children younger than 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

The cost for food will be: $2.50 for a hot dog, chips, and a drink; $3 for a hamburger, chips and a drink; and $3.50 for a brat or cheeseburger, chips and a drink. Individual items can be purchased: $1.50 for a hot dog; $2 for a hamburger; $2.50 for a cheeseburger or brat; 50 cents for chips; $1 for pop, water, snow cones, or cotton candy; and $2 for a lemon shake-up or nachos.
