PEORIA, Ariz. – Jackie S. Gosney passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at her home in Peoria, Ariz., with her son and daughter by her side.

Jackie was born Oct. 30, 1941, in West Plains, Mo., to Cleo and Geraldine Bennett. She married William “Pete” Gosney on April 20, 1957.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Craig) Gebhardt of Milledgeville; son, Douglas (Christine LeBlanc) Gosney of Peoria, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Troy (Diana) Boutin, currently serving in the Army in Afghanistan and Trent (Katelyn Wiersema) Gebhardt of Milledgeville; one sister, Debra Brown; and four brothers, Larry (Ruth) Bennett, Gary (Mary) Bennett, Randy (Sue) Bennett, and Samuel (Peggy) Bennett. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, William V. Gosney III; her husband, William V. Gosney Jr.; and her parents.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband and son.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today and the memorial service at 11 a.m. today at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W. Bell Road, Surprise, Ariz.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Carroll County Relay for Life, c/o Milledgeville State Bank, P.O. Box 789, Milledgeville, IL 61051.
