ROCKFORD – A 51-year-old Oregon man was sentenced to 10 years, 1 month in federal prison for distributing child pornography.

The sentence for Jonathan Long, 51, will be followed by 10 years of supervised release, Gary S. Shapiro, U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, said in a news release.

There is no parole in the federal system.

Long admitted emailing images of a child engaging in sexually explicit conduct to a person in Alaska in March 2012, the release said.

He pleaded guilty Nov. 16 and was sentenced Friday. He has been in federal custody since his arrest July 24.
