Rock Falls logs 27,040 safety hours

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Municipal Utilities Association recently recognized Rock Falls for having earned a first- place award in its category in the American Public Power Association’s Safety Award for Excellence competition.

The award was earned by logging 27,040 employee hours of work without incurring a single lost-time accident or injury. This is the fourth consecutive year Rock Falls has earned the award.

Kevin Gaden, president and CEO of the IMUA, presented the award to Dick Simon, Rock Falls electrical director, at the May 15 annual meeting in Springfield.
