Published: Saturday, May 25, 2013 1:15 a.m. CDT

DIXON – Hospice of the Rock River Valley has registered as a “Birdie” in the Birdies for Charity program, during the John Deere Classic PGA Tournament July 8-14.

Pledges of 1 cent or more for every birdie made during the tournament will be collected. Donors also may make a flat donation in the hospice’s name. All money collected by the program for HRRV will be given to the hospice. Each person making a pledge can guess the exact number of birdies made during the tournament. The person with the correct answer will win a new Chevrolet Equinox. If more than one correct guess is made, names will be entered into a drawing. Other prizes will be awarded.

Call the hospice at 815-288-3673 to request a pledge form, or visit www.hospicerockriver.org to download forms.
