STERLING – A Sterling man was sentenced to 3 years in prison for selling cocaine.

Edward M. Geddes, 34, pleaded guilty Friday to selling less than 1 gram of cocaine in November. The state dismissed a charge of selling less than a gram within 1,000 feet of a church.

Geddes was sentenced in January 2006 in Whiteside County to 4 years probation for selling drugs.
