STERLING – A federal judge on Friday sentenced an Oregon man to 10 years and 1 month in prison for distributing child pornography.

Jonathan Long, 51, was given a 121-month sentence by U.S. District Judge Phillip Reinhard. Long, who originally was charged in federal court in Alaska, also faces 10 years of supervised release after his prison term.

Long has been in federal custody since his arrest July 24, 2012. In pleading guilty to the charge on Nov. 16, Long admitted that in March 2012 he emailed to a person in Alaska images of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
