POLO – Polo police are looking for information on an older man who approached a 14-year-old boy as he was walking home from school Wednesday and may have attempted to abduct the boy.

The boy said he was approached by a stranger in a black 4-door car near Pleasant Avenue and Colden Street around 3:20 p.m.

The man, who was 50 to 70 years old, clean-shaven, with white hair and wearing a yellow shirt, pulled his car to the curb on the wrong side of the street, next to the boy, and asked him if he wanted to listen to his music.

The boy ignored him, went home and told his family, who notified police. A man in a car matching the description was seen around town later, police said.

Anyone with information on this or any similar incident is asked to call Polo police at 946-3412, or 911 if it is an emergency.
