DIXON – Cecilia C. Liston, 78, of Dixon, died Monday, May 13, 2013, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon. She worked for BorgWarner in Dixon for 25 years before retiring.

She was born April 9, 1935, in Chicago, the daughter of John and Catherine (Docter) Cornwell. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon. She married Edward Liston on May 7, 1956, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1988. 

Survivors include two sons, John (Tammie) Liston of Woosung and Tim Liston of Dixon; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four brothers, John Stephen (Shirley) Cornwell of Salvisa, Ky., Philip (Evelyn) Cornwell of Dixon, Thomas (Sue) Cornwell of Sterling, and Robert Cornwell of New Braunfels, Texas.

She also was preceded in death by a brother, James Bruce Cornwell.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday and the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon, with the Rev. Michael Morrissey officiating. Jones Funeral Home in Dixon is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Serenity Hospice & Home and St. Anne Catholic Church.
