CLINTON, Iowa – “A Symphonic Affair,” the annual benefit for Clinton Symphony Orchestra, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. May 31 at Rastrelli’s Tuscany Center in Clinton.
Admission is $40, or $240 for a table of eight. The event often sells out, so early reservations are suggested at 563-447-0080.
The 59-year-old orchestra features musicians from all over the Sauk Valley, as well as Iowa, and holds many of its performances in Morrison and Sterling.
The evening will feature an appetizer buffet, silent and live auctions of items (the list is available at clintonsymphony.org) and live entertainment.
That weekend, the orchestra will play its annual free outdoor pops concert June 2 in Clinton’s Riverview Park. Family activities from Children’s Discovery Center begin at 6 p.m. and the concert at 6:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and perhaps a picnic supper.
Music will include songs from movies and stage productions, a Beach
Boys medley, patriotic music, and marches.
