ROCKFORD (AP) — A Wisconsin man who was convicted in the 2010 slayings of a Rockford couple has been sentenced to life in prison.

Chief Judge Joseph McGraw sentenced 29-year-old Alexander Castillo of Janesville, Wis., on Tuesday.

Last month, a Rockford jury found Castillo guilty of first-degree murder in slayings of 34-year-old Michael Clark and his wife, 29-year-old Christa Clark. The two were gunned down inside their Rockford home.

The judge also sentenced Castillo to another 51 years in prison for home invasion and using a gun.
