Ogle County officer awarded

STERLING – State trooper Adrian Guerrero recently received the Trooper of the Quarter Award from Illinois State Police District 1.

Guerrero is from Ogle County. He has been with the ISP for 4 years, and serves as a field training officer and juvenile officer. He received a framed certificate of recognition. Guerrero’s name also was added to the Trooper of the Quarter display at District 1 headquarters. 

Guerrero has received an ISP unit citation for work he did on a 2009 quintuple murder case in Beason.

He also is a sergeant first class with the Illinois National Guard, and serves with the 333rd Military Police Company based in Freeport.
