Charline Zink

ROCK FALLS – Charline Zink, 80, of Rock Falls, died Monday, May 13, 2013, at her home.

Charline was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Vicksburg, Miss., the daughter of James and Rosa Lee Crane. She married Eugene Zink on March 21, 1953, in Savanna. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2012. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda (Flip) Royer and Vicki Zink, and two sons, David (Deb) Zink and Mark (Theresa) Zink, all of Rock Falls; six grandchildren, Paula (Rick) Peikert of Rock Falls, Tiffany (Joe Riley) Williams of Brooks, Wis., Sarah (Chris Cogdall) Williams of Rock Falls, Jamie (Misty Hawk) McDoneld of Coal Valley, and Mindy VanHooser and Austin Zink, both of Rock Falls; 10 great-grandchildren, Daegan Wharff and Addison Peikert, both of Rock Falls, Joseph Riley and Jackson Riley, both of Brooks, Wis., Alyssa Wade, Trinity Wade, Lillyanna Freeman, and Gunner Freeman, all of Rock Falls, Isabella McDoneld of Coal Valley, and Alex McDoneld of Rock Falls; and one nephew, Robert (Wilma) Accuff.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, Greg Zink; one sister, Mabel Accuff; and one granddaughter, Heather Bellows.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.  The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls.  

A memorial has been established to Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
