Artifacts to be on display in Rochelle

ROCHELLE – The Roberts Armory World War II museum May 27 for Memorial Day.

The museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. A new exhibit will be a set of Rochelle newspapers from 1945, highlighting World War II veterans from Rochelle, and a display highlighting the use of Rochelle Whitcomb locomotives built during the war. To reach the museum, follow the signs on the Army truck at state Route 251 and Intermodal Drive.
