Area high school receives rating

OREGON – Oregon High School recently was chosen as one of the best high schools, through a national study by Newsweek magazine and The Daily Beast website.

Oregon was evaluated on its:

■ 99 percent graduation rate in 2012;

■ 68 percent of the class of 2011 were accepted to college;

■ Advanced Placement tests average test score was 2.1 on a 5.0 scale.

■ Oregon’s average ACT score for the class of 2012 was 21.19.
