Connie Jean Kropf

TAMPICO – Connie Jean Kropf, 55, of Tampico, peacefully passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Connie was born Aug. 31, 1957, in Princeton, the daughter of Donald and Merlene Hostetler. She was united in marriage to Steve Kropf on June 2, 1977.  

She is survived by her husband, Steve Kropf; two sons, Dustin (Tonia) Kropf of Tampico and Nevin (Rosie) Kropf of Gladys, Va.; four daughters, Stephanie (Roger) Garretson of Tampico, Shelly (Travis) Hostetler of Prophetstown, Shereen (Kelton) Hostetler of Tampico, and Susanne Kropf at home; four grandsons; two granddaughters; her father, Donald Hostetler of Hotchkiss, Colo.; three brothers, Rex (Cheryl) Hostetler and Ray (Linda) Hostetler, both of Nashville, Ark., and Roland (Anna) Hostetler of Hotchkiss; three sisters, Cindy (David) Hostetler of Shelbina, Mo., Londa (Marvin) Garretson of Prophetstown, and Lucy (Richard) Blosser of Hotchkiss; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and one daughter, Wendy.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fairfield Amish Mennonite School in Tampico. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fairfield Amish Mennonite Church in Tampico. Burial will be at Fairfield Amish Mennonite Cemetery in Tampico. Garland Funeral Home in Tampico is handling arrangements.
