Grateful for community’s generosity

Published: Saturday, May 18, 2013 1:15 a.m. CDT

I want to say a great big thank you to everyone who helped to make the Raise the Woof event to benefit Happy Tails Animal Shelter on May 3 a huge success.

Days Inn was very generous to us. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Days Inn.

Thank you to our wonderful sponsors whose generous support allowed Happy Tails to put on this event – Veri Facts, Wahl, Candlelight Inn, CGH, Country Financial, Hawkins-Cassens Insurance, Morrison Veterinary Clinic, Ken Nelson Auto Group, Sterling Chevrolet, and Team Publishers, Inc.

To the people who came to the event, thank you for your support for buying tickets for the show, 50-50 tickets, T-shirts and bumper stickers.

To those who donated the luscious desserts, thank you for your help. To our most excellent auctioneer, Dave, I think you were our secret weapon. You made the drink auction a big success and added excitement to the evening.

To the table of volunteers who bid to the moon for that tray of drinks, I’m sure that you enjoyed them.

We love you for your generosity that night and also for your generosity at the shelter and the love you give to the animals in our care.

To all Furry Funders who worked on this event – hooray. It was worth the work. Well done.

Last but most, to Donald. Your hard work and can-do-anything attitude are amazing. Thank you for all you do 24/7. It is truly appreciated.

Note to readers – Robin Gordon is a volunteer for the Happy Tails Animal Shelter.
