DIXON – Second Saturdays Art Happenings, featuring art, music and other cultural events, returns to various venues, mostly from 6 to 8 p.m. downtown, between First and Second streets and Peoria and Galena avenues.

Poker run for Home of Hope

STERLING – Champs Sports Bar and Grill is putting on a poker run to benefit Home of Hope Cancer Wellness Center in Dixon.

Sign-up runs from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the bar, 216 Locust St.; the last bike returns at 5 p.m. Cost is $15 or $25 per couple, which includes free food, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle, and Knuckle Deep will play from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Annual Sublette car show

SUBLETTE – The annual Cruise 'n Show will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday on Main Street, just west of state Route 52.

It's open to antique, classic, or special interest cars, trucks, motorcycles, and tractors. 3-D Sound will provide announcements and music. Admission is free; there will be no judging. Door prizes will be awarded, and there will be a 50/50 drawing.

DHS awards concert

DIXON – The Dixon High School Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble will present their annual Spring Awards Concert at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the auditorium, 300 Lincoln Staute Drive.

In addition to both group performances, the students will be recognized for their accomplishments over the year.

Wine, beer tasting in Oregon

OREGON – The Oregon Chamber of Commerce's annual wine and beer tasting fundraiser runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Oak Lane, 3261 Daysville Road.

Advance tickets are $20 and include a commemorative etched wine glass and 12 tasting tickets, each of which can be exchanged for a 1-ounce sample of wine or beer, or a food item.  

Tickets also are $20 at the door, and will include an etched wine glass while supplies last, and eight tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets will be $1 each.
