Dutch Days Festival

FULTON – Dutch Days returns to the downtown and to Heritage Canyon, 515 N. Fourth St.

Free activities will be held downtown from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday, and at Heritage Canyon, an an 1880s pioneer village, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Sunday.

A weekend of musicals ...

At Rock Falls High School, it's “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the school at 101 12th Ave. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $3 for ages 12 and younger, although the show is rated PG-13.

Morrison High School will offer "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday at the school, 643 Genessee Ave. Admission: $5.

Dixon High School will present "Guys and Dolls" at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the auditorium at 300 Lincoln Statue Drive. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $3 for students, or $20 for a family pack for two adults and students free.

DIXON – Sauk Valley Community College will perform the British comedy "See How They Run" at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the school's Mathis Theatre. Tickets cost $8 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for students.

Sterling-Rock Falls' citywide sales

ROCK FALLS – The Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce's annual Garage Sale Days runs roughly from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Saturday throughout both towns.

'Raise the Woof' for Happy Tails

ROCK FALLS – "Raise the Woof," a stand-up comedy tour that raises money for animal rescue work, will perform tonight at Days Inn, 2501 First Ave., in a benefit for Happy Tails Humane Society.

Doors will open at 6:30 for the pre-show event, in which guests can enjoy a drink and a dessert auction while meeting some of Happy Tails' adoptable pets. The show starts at 8 p.m. Bring your jammies: One lucky ticketholder will win an overnight stay at the hotel.
