Maynard D. Kropf

DEER GROVE – Maynard David Kropf, 61, of Deer Grove, died at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at his home after a short illness.

Maynard was born Oct. 27, 1951, the son of Joe and Alice Kropf. He was employed by Prairie Hybrid Seeds. He was a member of Amish Mennonite Church. Maynard shared his home with his sister, Norma.

He is survived by three sisters, Norma Kropf of Deer Grove, Doris (Dan) Headings of Green Forest, Ark., and Sharon (James) Hostetler of Deer Grove; four brothers, Eugene (Luella) Kropf of Nelson, Mo., Marvin (Lydia) Kropf of Smithton, Mo., and Lester (Joyce) Kropf and LaVern (Gladys) Kropf, both of Tampico; two sisters-in-law, Judy (Willis – deceased) Kropf of Berryville, Ark., and Mary Alice (Willard – deceased) Kropf of Green Forest; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two sisters in infancy; two nieces; and one nephew.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Fairfield Amish Mennonite School in Tampico. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Fairfield Amish Mennonite Church in Tampico. Burial will be at Fairfield Amish Mennonite Cemetery in Tampico. Garland Funeral Home in Tampico is handling arrangements.
