Seeks 'helping hand' volunteers for cleanup work

The month of May is the time for new beginnings and spring cleaning. Times are tough, and the economy is slow to recover, and sometimes a friend, neighbor or family member could use a helping hand. So this year, you can become a spring Earth Angel, too.

I'm calling all Earth Angels to volunteer in our event: "Helping Hands – Pay It Forward" spring cleaning for our neighbors in Mount Morris.

For the entire month of May, I will have two lists going, and I am gathering names; one for recipients (for day and time needed for a "helping hand"), the other for volunteers (for days and times available to "pay it forward"). The event is scheduled for the entire month of May in order to accommodate everyone's schedule. Just imagine, together we can get a lot done.

If you know of someone who can use a "helping hand" (you must live in Mount Morris to be a recipient) or would like to volunteer (you don't have to live in Mount Morris to volunteer), please contact me at 815-291-7757 for more information. Email me at

My Facebook page is EarthAngel Granny (Linda Straith) where you can leave me a personal message or on my Facebook event page, "Helping Hands – Pay It Forward" and post a message. Thank you, and God bless.
