Wonders about gasoline prices

Published: Thursday, May 2, 2013 1:15 a.m. CDT

Here it is on Monday, April 29, and guess what? Gas prices in Rock Falls have increased again.

Two stations on 12th Avenue are now at $3.69 a gallon. Yet, another station in Sterling is at $3.43 a gallon. Is there a disconnect somewhere?

This past week I traveled to Chicago, and gasoline on Interstate 80 at LaSalle-Peru was either $3.47 or $3.37.

Why does Rock Falls gas cost so much? Inquiring minds would like to know.
