MORRISON – Pamela T. Bush, 59, of Morrison, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at her residence.
Pamela was born Jan. 24, 1954, in Queens, N.Y., the daughter of Edgar F. and Joan (Klink) Bailey. She graduated in 1972 from Morris Catholic High School in Denville, N.J. She graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1976, with a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education. She married Rodney D. Bush on Nov. 27, 1976, in Parsippany, N.J. She received her master’s degree from Western Illinois University in 2000, in education administration.
Pamela’s passion was her family and working with her students. She helped with the Harvest Hammer. She loved downhill and cross-country skiing, bicycling, cross-country marathons, gardening, and playing with her granddaughter. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Morrison, where she served as a religious leader and Eucharistic minister.
Her family would like to thank Rock River Hospice for the care she received the last 5 weeks.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Bush, and a son, Bradley Bush, both of Morrison; a granddaughter, Katie Jo Bush; four sisters, Donna (Jack) Greener of Orland Park, Janese (Chuck) Maranzano of Williamsburg, Va., Sharon (Roger) Cregg of Rochester, Mich., and Alanna Van Voorhies of Hawthorne, N.J.; and one brother, Michael (Cindy) Bailey of Barnegat, N.J.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church Fellowship Hall in Morrison. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. William Antillon officiating. Inurnment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
