Students attend club gathering

MORRISON – Rotarians were joined April 24 by April Students of the Month Heather Elfline and Alex Weeks.

Elfline is the daughter of Shari and Alan Elfline. She is active in her church youth group and is an assistant minister. She has been active in school plays, band, and choirs throughout high school. Elfline also played with the Quad City Youth Philharmonic, the Sauk Valley Community College Band, and the Clinton (Iowa) Symphony. After graduation, she plans to attend Illinois State University and major in hospice music therapy.

Weeks is the son of Karen Davis and Marty Weeks. He played football and basketball for 4 years, and was a member of the Student Council and Key Club. Weeks takes part in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is a day care volunteer tutor, and also volunteers at White Oaks Therapeutic Equestrian Center. He plans to attend Bismark State College to study nuclear power technology, and hopes to have a career at a nuclear power plant.
