Randolph S. Miller Sr.

OREGON – Randolph S. Miller Sr., 56, of Dixon, was called to his heavenly home Monday, April 22, 2013, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon, surrounded by his loving family.

Randy was born March 4, 1957, in Streator, the son of James and Dorothy (Rutledge) Miller. He proudly served for 4 years in the Marine Corps. He married Sandra Pleskovitch on June 24, 1995, in Dixon.

Randy worked as a security guard at the Byron Nuclear Plant before working at Jack Mabley Center as a mental health technician. He loved gardening and woodworking, but most of all, he loved family and friends. He loved talking to people and was a great listener to all.

Randy leaves behind his wife, Sandra; son, Randolph (Dina) Miller Jr.; daughter, Kelly Hope; stepson, Ronald Pleskovitch; one stepgranddaughter; six sisters; four brothers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank the staff at Serenity Hospice & Home for the care and compassion given to Randy.

A celebration of life will be at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Cremation Society of Illinois is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the family or Serenity Hospice & Home, 1658 state Route 2 South, Oregon, IL 61061.
