Ramiro O. Garza Sr.

ROCK FALLS – Ramiro O. Garza Sr., 49, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore. He was a security guard at Dixon Correctional Center.

Ramiro was born Feb. 29, 1964, in Corpus Christi, Texas, the son of Rogerio and Hortencia (Ortiz) Garza.

Survivors include one son, Ramiro Garza Jr. of Sterling; his mother, Hortencia Garza of Rock Falls; four brothers, Rogerio Garza of Dixon, Robert (Nichole) Garza of Sterling, Raynaldo (Bobbie) Garza of Kalona, Iowa, and Adam Garza of Rock Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls, with Monsignor Thomas Dzielak officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls.

A memorial has been established.
