SEX ASSAULT CASE: Russell A. Frey, 36, of Dixon; charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault. Police say Frey had sex with a 12-year-old girl at his house in late January 2012 and again in February 2012.

On the docket: Motion hearing.


RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY CASE: Susan E. Emmole, 44, of Dixon; charged with residential burglary. Police say Emmole stole cash, coins, and watches from a home in northeast Dixon on Aug. 9.

On the docket: Preliminary hearing.

MARIJUANA/PARAPHERNALIA CASE: Dustin L. Jones, 31, of Dixon; charged with possession with intent to deliver between 500 and 2,000 grams of marijuana, possession of between 500 and 2,000 grams of marijuana, and two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say they found nearly 3 pounds of marijuana, smoking pipes, and guns in his home on Oct. 21, 2011.

On the docket: Plea. 

CHILD PORN CASE: Ronald N. Osborn, 62, of rural Dixon; charged with six counts of aggravated child pornography. Police say a search of Osborn’s computer on June 13 turned up multiple images of child pornography.

On the docket: Pretrial conference.

Whiteside County


DRUG CASE: Vincent W. Fiore, 46, of Mount Morris, and Myles O. Olsen, 40, of Bartlett; both charged with two counts of manufacturing marijuana and producing 50 to 200 marijuana plants.

Police said they found about 45 pounds of marijuana, with a street value of about $635,000, and more than 150 pot plants in a home in Deer Grove April 17, before arresting Fiore and Olsen.

The task force then searched a home in Bartlett where Olsen reportedly lives, and two homes, in Morris and LaSalle, both owned by Fiore. In those three searches, they seized $24,000 in cash and $190,000 in assets believed to be derived from drug sales and other activity, police said.
