Fourth Fridays goes Hawaiian
STERLING – Fourth Fridays: Where People and Art Collide brings art and music to a variety of downtown venues. Most events are from 6 to 8 p.m., although many places have musicians performing into the night.
This month, inspired by the luau, many venues will feature food and drink, sales, specials and give-aways with a tropical style.

Dixon and Polo both are having their annual citywide garage sales today and Saturday.
In addition, the Polo Woman’s Garden Club's annual plant sale runs from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the alley behind 105 S. Division Ave.

Kids play free at the Y
STERLING – Healthy Kids Day features free activities such as obstacle courses and Olympic games in the pool from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Sterling-Rock Falls YMCA, 2505 YMCA Way.
The first 100 people will get a Healthy Kids Day T-shirt.

Car show at the Moose
STERLING – There's a car, truck, tractor, and bike show at the Sterling Moose, 2601 E. Lincolnway.
Registration will be held from 8 a.m. to noon; the entry fee is $10. There also will be food, raffles, a 50/50 drawing, and a live auction. Awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m.

'See How They Run'
DIXON – Sauk Valley Community College presents the British comedy "See How They Run" at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the school's Mathis Theatre.
Tonight only, theatergoers also can enjoy "A Chocolate Interlude." Chocolates, crisp champagne and sparkling cider will be served during intermission. Tickets for the interlude and play are $10 if any are left. Best to call and check.
