MORRISON – A Rock Falls burglar was eager to unload things he had stolen from Rock River Lumber and Grain in Galt.

In fact, after he reported the break-in, the owner of the business noticed the items the next day at nearby Cimco Recycling.

Terry G. Gibbs, 35, of Rock Falls, and an accomplice got $600 for the motors and copper they stole in January, according to court records.

Gibbs pleaded guilty in Whiteside County Court to felony burglary, and was sentenced April 12 to 14 years in prison for burglary.

Gibbs and Steven K. Argraves, 40, of Sterling, were charged with the burglary. They already had multiple convictions for burglary and theft in Whiteside County.

Argraves has a pretrial conference Wednesday.
