Sauk sweeps Elgin at home: After getting just enough runs right off the bat to win the opener 3-2, the Skyhawks rallied in Game 2 to win 6-3.

Kiara Kaleel worked five innings to get the win in the opener, striking out five and walking none while allowing two earned runs. She also hit a two-run single during a three-run bottom of the first.

Cali Bartholomew (7-4) threw two scoreless innings of relief in Game 1, then worked the last five innings to get the win in the nightcap. She struck out four and walked one while working around four hits to yield no runs.

Down 3-2, the Skyhawks (20-10-1) scored four in the bottom of the fourth. After failing to put down a squeeze bunt with the bases loaded and no outs, Therese Jender made up for it with a two-run triple on the next pitch, giving Sauk a 6-3 lead.
