New computer helps performers

MORRISON – A group of Morrison organizations donated money to help buy a new light board for the Morrison High School auditorium. The new board operates all stage lights for theater and musical productions.

The device can set light intensity, light groups, times for lights to fade, and control light color with the push of a button.

The old light board failed just before the opening of the school’s production of “Anything Goes,” causing the school to rent a board from Peoria for the show.

Contributors were the Children’s Art Preservation Association, Morrison Rotary Club, Morrison Education Foundation, Morrison Music Theater Association, Morrison Music Boosters, and Morrison Community Unit School District 6.
