Mayors Prayer Breakfast May 2

STERLING – A retired Army chaplain will be the guest speaker at the annual Mayors Prayer Breakfast next month on National Day of Prayer.

The Rev. Mike Durham will speak on “Choose Life at the Next Level” at 7 a.m. May 2 at First Church of the Nazarene, 411 13th Ave. A continental breakfast will be served, and donations will be taken.

The theme for 2013 is “Pray for America,” according to a flier announcing the event. The Scripture for the year is Matthew 12:21: “In His name the nations will put their hope.”

The program is sponsored by Community Clergy Association and Sterling Kiwanis Club.

For more information, call the Rev. Al Campbell, 815-622-8220.
