Be consistent in identifying letter writers

Published: Wednesday, April 17, 2013 1:15 a.m. CDT

It seems that you didn’t follow your established practice when identifying elected positions of those writing a letter to the editor.

The letter in Saturday’s paper, April 6, from David J. Hand should have identified him (at the end) as 3rd Ward alderman in Rock Falls. The same would apply to the letter from Jerry Mitchell (former state representative). You identified a letter from Ron Cooper noting that he was a former supervisor.

Please be consistent in your editorial policy. Fair is fair; wouldn’t you agree?
