DIXON – U.S. Reps. Adam Kinzinger and Cheri Bustos will visit the Sauk Valley Saturday.

Bustos, D-East Moline, will be talking with people at Sullivan’s Foods, 300 N. Madison St. in Morrison, from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, as part of her Supermarket Saturdays initiative. She represents the 17th District, which includes all of Whiteside County.

“[It’s a] thing we are going to do once a month or so where, she visits a local supermarket to talk to people about what’s on their mind and get their thoughts on things she should be focusing on,” Bustos spokesman Colin Milligan said. “She thought that going to the supermarket on the weekend would be a good way to do that because that’s where a lot of people are.”

Kinzinger, R-Manteno, will be talking with people while exploring Dixon’s Second Saturdays monthly entertainment fest, which runs from 6 to 8 p.m. in the downtown.

Kinzinger represents the 16th District, which includes all of Lee County.

Yes. Sterling and Dixon have had bans for years. It’s time for Rock Falls to impose a ban.
No. It would be too great a burden for homeowners to dispose of fallen leaves in other ways.
