ROCK FALLS – Tickets are on sale now for “Raise the Woof,” a comedy benefit for Happy Tails Humane Society coming to the Days Inn, 2501 First Ave., on May 3.

Raise the Woof is a professional stand-up comedy tour that raises money specifically for animal rescue work in the towns in which it plays. Many of its members have performed on HBO, Comedy Central, and TBS.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the pre-show event, in which guests can enjoy a drink and a dessert auction and meet some of the nonprofit, no-kill shelter’s adoptable pets. The show beings at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $20 at all Freedom Bank and Sauk Valley Bank locations, and at the door. Only 300 tickets will be sold, and they’re going fast, organizers say. One ticketholder will win an overnight stay at the inn.

Call Happy Tails at 815-626-2994 for more information.

Go to woofraise.com or www.facebook.com/WoofRaise for more information on the organization.
