Neil P. Grove

ROCKFORD – Neil P. Grove, 69, of Rockford, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at The Atrium in Rockford. He had been an insurance adjuster for Crawford and Company for more than 35 years before retiring.

He was born March 18, 1944, in Dixon, the son of Murrie and Anna Lucile (Mayes) Grove. He was a veteran of the Navy.

He is survived by two sons, Nathan (Jessica) Grove of Rockford and Nicholas (Michelle) Grove of Winnebago; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Logan and Abigail Grove, Laurine Taylor, Steven Hardt, and Aubree, Evan and Matisyn Grove; and three brothers, Murrie (Christina) Grove of Loves Park, Thomas (Gracie) Grove of Dixon, and Mark (Jill) Grove of Belvidere.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Scripture service at 8 p.m., Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon.
