JonThomas Fischbach

ROCK FALLS – JonThomas Fischbach, 44, of Rock Falls, died Sunday, April 7, 2013.

He was born April 29, 1968, in Freeport, the son of Stanley Robert and Rosemary Ann (Weigle) Fischbach. Jon was a 1986 graduate of Shannon High School, where he played sports and was active in the music program. He served his apprenticeship under Brian Kenney Plumbing in Moline, and was employed as a plumber by American Water. Jon enjoyed spending time with his son, playing adult league basketball and softball, and hiking. He was a jet and airplane enthusiast. 

Survivors include Jon’s son, Trever, and Trever’s mother, Emily Fischbach; Jon’s mother, Rosemary A. Fischbach of Portsmouth, Va.; his girlfriend, Elaine Tribble Coers of Sterling; his aunts and uncles, Sandra (Jerry) Weber and family and Richard (Jane) Weigle and family; his stepsister, Danella Fischbach of Sterling; his stepbrothers, Lonny Fischbach of Chadwick and Stacey Fischbach of Milledgeville; and his stepgrandmother, Mary Jane Fischbach.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley R. Fischbach; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1002 12th Ave., Rock Falls.
