Testing trout fishing waters in Rock Falls

Centennial Park in Rock Falls was packed to the gills with anglers big and small Saturday, the first day of state trout season. Last week, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources stocked the park’s big pond with 1,800 pounds of the shiny, slippery fish.
