Barbershoppers croon

STERLING – The Rock River Valley Barbershop Chorus presents “Barbershop Island” at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Sterling High School's Centennial Auditorium, 1608 Fourth Ave.

CLINTON, Iowa – The Clinton Symphony Orchestra presents "German Splendor" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Vernon Cook Theater, 817 Eighth Ave. S.

Egg hunts Saturday in Dixon

DIXON – First United Methodist Church is holding an egg hunt from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Wooden Wonderland in The Meadows Park, 1300 Washington Ave. There also will be carnival games, bouncy houses, the Easter bunny, stories and snacks.

The Dixon Elks Lodge and Dixon Park District's free egg hunt begins at 1 p.m., also at The Meadows.

Concert and more for PADS

STERLING – A benefit for the PADS homeless shelter will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Lutheran Church of West Jordan, 20314 Hickory Hills Road.

The String-A-Longs, a local dulcimer group, will perform, and there will be other musical events, a bake sale, a craft sale, a raffle, and a plant sale. Refreshments will be served after the program. Donations will be accepted.

Branson performer in town

STERLING – Branson, Mo., singer Allen Edwards, whose vocal style is reminiscent of Jim Reeves, will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sterling High School's Centennial Auditorium, 1608 Fourth Ave.

Advance tickets are $17 for one, $30 for a pair, $12 for three to 15 and $10 for 16 or more, or $40 for a family superpass good for everyone in the household, and are available at 800-280-9757. All tickets will be $17 at the door.
