McLEAN – Wayne Albert Bollivar, 78, of McLean, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Heartland Healthcare Center in Normal. He was a field engineer at Unysis Corp. before retiring.

Wayne was born Sept. 3, 1934, in Dixon, the son of Everett Albert and Myrtle Huyette Bollivar. He served in the Army. He married Virginia Lee Jackson on June 5, 1960. He was a member of McLean United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; his children, Nancy Lee (Paul) Dinges of St. Joseph, Cynthia Kay (David) Honegger of McLean, and David Wayne (Linda) Bollivar of Normal; five grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Vande Voorde of Erie, and Carol (Norbert) Parkinson of Rockford; and two brothers, John (Patty) Bollivar of Prophetstown and Clarence (JoAnn) Bollivar of Florida.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Charlene Bollivar; his parents; and one brother, Donald.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta. Visitation also will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday and the funeral at 10 a.m. Friday at McLean United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Becky Barrow and Rev. Paul Dinges officiating. Burial, with military honors by McLean American Legion 573, will be at McLean Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to McLean United Methodist Church or Community Cancer Center in Normal.
