Route 2 one lane south of Oregon

Published: Thursday, April 4, 2013 1:15 a.m. CST

OREGON – Roadwork being done on state Route 2 south of Oregon, in Castle Rock State Park, will take about a month, an Illinois Department of Transportation spokesman said.

“Workers are making repairs to the drainage at the edge of the pavement,” engineer John Wegmeyer said. The work is scheduled to be done by May 3.

The road is down to one lane, with traffic controlled by temporary signals, so motorists should expect minor delays and be prepared to stop.
