Retired teachers plan luncheon

DEER GROVE – The Whiteside Retired Teachers’ Association will meet April 18.

All retired educators – including those who don’t live or didn’t work in Whiteside County – are welcome to attend a luncheon at noon at Arnie’s Happy Spot, 1679 Hoover Road.

Featured speaker will be Gary Cook, Sterling fire chief and Rock Falls deputy chief. Attendees will socialize and learn about available benefits and legislative issues affecting their pensions.
