Hopefuls to meet voters Thursday

Published: Thursday, April 4, 2013 1:15 a.m. CST

DIXON – The nonpartisan Organizing for Grassroots Awareness in Dixon will sponsor a meet-and-greet with Dixon School Board candidates at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Loveland Community House, 513 W. Second St.

All candidates have been invited; so far, Jonathan Gieson, John M. Jacobs and Woody Lenox have agreed to attend.

The group said it does not endorse any issue or candidate; its goals are to raise awareness of and educate people on the issues, and to encourage people to vote in Tuesday’s election.

Call Barbara Schwamberger, 815-440-2672, for more information.
