I would like to take a minute and explain to you why I am the right person for Palmyra Township road commissioner.
I am hard-working, trustworthy and responsible. I care about the township and the people in it. My approach is simple: be accountable to the taxpayers. Give them service they deserve.
Snow and ice control is a crucial part of the duties. My plan is to use an immediate team-based response, so when the snow flies, the trucks are working. I care just as much about you and your loved ones being able to get to school, work, and wherever else they need to go, as I do my own. I will make sure all the roads are cleared in a timely manner.
When it comes to repairing roads, what I am going to do is simple: fix it right. These are your tax dollars at work, and they will be spent to get the best value. Potholes need to be filled, culverts replaced, etc. and that will be done correctly. When it’s time to repave a road, it will be done right so the road is good for 20-30 years with proper preventive maintenance.
I have 10 years’ experience in road construction and maintenance and 12 years in snow and ice control.
I met with the county engineer, we have discussed his expectations, and he knows mine. I have also met with township board members to get to know the ins and outs of the road district. I am the only candidate who has been at every board meeting (only missing three, which I had a representative present) since the 2011 blizzard.
I have devoted my life to the safety of the people of the area. Safety is my goal. Please show your support on April 9. Vote Derrick Storey.
