I was fortunate and proud to be a member of the Morrison City Council for 14-plus years, 12 of those years spent with Roger Drey as mayor.
I was saddened when I learned that he was not seeking re-election, but I was very glad that a person of respect and involvement in the community came forward to run for the mayor of Morrison. That person is Everett Pannier.
Everett is well trained and experienced in management duties and expectations because of his position as plant manager at General Electric. He also is familiar with preparing and managing budgets.
Everett has also been very active and involved with the community and city. He served as a member of the school board, MIT board, and on a board for a local bank. He is currently on the Morrison Area Development Corp. board.
Everett’s plan is to maintain an open-door policy and will be open for suggestions. A vote for Everett Pannier will help to keep Morrison the great city that it is today.
