ALBANY – Thomas J. Cullinan Sr., 90, of Albany, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton, Iowa.

He was a truck driver for FS Cordova for 36 years, and for Al’s Ag Service in Garden Plain after he retired.

He was born on Dec. 12, 1922, in Dillon Township, the son of Lawrence and Margaret (Thaller) Cullinan. He married Doris J. McGoy on June 8, 1946, in Louisville, Ky. She preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 1991.

Tom served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Albany.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Cullinan of Frisco, Colo.; Joe (Roseanna Trevino) Cullinan of Morrison and Shawn (Jackie) Cullinan of Clinton, Iowa; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four sisters; Doris Garman and Pat Smith, both of Pekin, Kathleen (Walt) Iber of Metropolis, and Mary Lou (Gerald) Bozart of Watkinsville, Ga.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tony Cullinan; and two brothers, Daniel Cullinan and Robert Cullinan.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Fulton. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Albany, with burial in Lusk Memorial Cemetery in Albany.

Memorials may be made to the Albany Lions Club or Albany Indian Mounds.
