MORRISON – A homeless man was sentenced Wednesday to 8 years in prison for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Christopher C. Osborn, 22, also pleaded guilty in Whiteside County Court to aggravated fleeing and was sentenced to 3 years, to be served concurrently. He also was sentenced to 90 days in jail for driving with a suspended license.

He received credit for 220 days served.

Misdemeanor charges of speeding and possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana were dropped.

Rock Falls police spotted Osborn in a stolen car in August; he fled when they tried to pull him over and he was arrested after a short chase that ended just west of the city.

Osborn also has felony convictions for theft, retail theft, and obstructing justice, Whiteside County court records show.
