MORRISON – Voices of Praise, an outreach choir made up of area church members, will perform its sixth annual spring cantata this week.
“The Church Will Remain!” will be presented Thursday, Friday, and April 14 at the sanctuary of Emmanuel Reformed Church, 202 E. Morris St.
The doors will open at 6 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m. An offering will be accepted. A fellowship hour will follow, hosted by the women of the church. The building is handicap accessible.
The 85-voice choir is under the direction of Rich Criss, ministry coordinator. Soloists for the performances are Heather McIlrath, Ritch Lindstrom, Criss, Ed Pruis, and Tonia Ernst.
Voices of Praise performers are from Emmanuel’s Sanctuary Choir; Albany United Methodist Church; First Lutheran Church in Chadwick; First Baptist Church in Clinton, Iowa; and First Christian Reformed Church, Gateway Faith Fellowship, Open Bible Fellowship, Second Reformed Church, and Spring Valley Reformed Church, all in the Fulton area.
Hanover Presbyterian Church; Milledgeville Brethren Church; Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milledgeville; Christian Reformed Church, Crossroads Community Church, Ebenezer Reformed Church, First Presbyterian Church, and St. Peter Lutheran Church, all in Morrison; Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Mount Carroll; Advent Christian Church in Prophetstown; and The Bridge at Beans (Brethren in Christ), Bethel Reformed Church, and Community Mennonite Fellowship, all in Sterling.
A free shuttle bus will be provided 1 hour before and after the cantata.
The bus will pick up from Ebenezer Reformed Church’s parking lot, 309 E. Park St., two blocks south of the drop off at the curb in front of Emmanuel.
