BLOOMINGTON (AP) — For the second time in a month a rare San Clemente goat has been born at the Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington.

The zoo said Tuesday that visitors can see the new male baby goat, named Hurricane. His mother is Valencia and he was born March 12. The older baby goat is Typhoon. He was born to mother Breeze on March 8.

The zoo has five adult goats, four female goats and one male goat. Miller Park Zoo is the only accredited facility in Illinois to exhibit the breed.

Officials say there are fewer than 500 of the goats in the world. The animals are a critically endangered heritage breed. They are from San Clemente Island off the California coast.
