Comedian to do stand-up at Sauk

Published: Thursday, March 28, 2013 1:15 a.m. CST

DIXON – Up-and-coming comedian Ronnie Jordan will perform at 7 p.m. April 11 at Sauk Valley Community College’s Mathis Theatre.

Jordan is quickly making a name for himself, sharing performances with stand-ups such as Rickey Smiley, Bruce Bruce, Mike Epps, Arnes J. and Dave Chappelle. He also was the opening act for the Queens of Comedy Tour, featuring comedians Sommore, Monique and Adelle Givens, and he has been featured on BET’s Comic View, P. Diddy Presents Bad Boys of Comedy and more.

Jordan is no stranger to the college scene, either: He broke records for college tours last year, playing 102 colleges in 112 days.

Admission is free, but the show is not recommended for anyone younger than 13.

Call Ana Salgado, Sauk’s student activities coordinator, at 815-835-6432 for more information.
